Our Vision

The Missionary Church of Christ for All Souls (AllSouls Mission) has the divine vision through its founder to preach the Word of God, Plant Churches (parishes) where  the congregation of God’s people can assemble and worship God in spirit and in truth, and to express the love of God to all, particularly to the poor through caring for their needs.

Our Mission

Consequent on our divinely given vision, our mission is to ensure a comprehensive achievement of components of the vision and to do so globally.

In achieving the vision we will set out initiatives where the Word of God is preached in and out of season emphasizing holiness, engage in the proclamation of the gospel at outreaches and evangelistic programs embarked upon for the sole purpose of winning souls  for God and reconciling souls unto God their maker through Jesus Christ the son of God as saviour of mankind according to the teachings of the Bible.

We will establish parishes as much as God gives us open doors and resources, even as we remain strong and courageous to take up as many opportunities as are available and create opportunities for their establishment where necessary.

Our mission includes physical expressions of God’s love to all, particularly to the poor. This expression will include feeding the poor and needy, assisting the less priviledged in society for their socio-economic emancipation through avenues that support this aspect of our mission.

Our Tenets of Faith

The Missionary Church of Christ for All Souls (AllSouls Mission) believes that the Bible that comprises of the true Word of called referred to as the Scripture is inspired by God and serves as the final authority for Christians in matters of faith and their conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Revelation 22:18-19)

The Trinity: We believe in the triune God, the El Shaddai who exists as God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit who all constitute the Godhead. Matthew 28:19; 2Corinthians 13:14.

We believe in the incarnation of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit that overshadowed the Blessed virgin Mary, the Crucifixion of Jesus on the Cross and in His resurrection and bodily ascension to heaven. (Isaiah 7:14; I Corinthians 15:3-4)

The Natural Man: We believe that man in his natural state is depraved and unable to relate to God in his natural form, thereby needing cleansing in order to relate to the Holy God, and whose transformation was provided by the sacrifice of Jesus through the shedding of His blood at the Cross on Calvary.

We believe Jesus’s death and the shedding of His blood is the last and only acceptable sacrifice that cleanses mankind from sin and saves us from eternal damnation.

We believe that declaration of faith in Jesus as saviour marks the beginning of the individual’s salvation; we also believe that a Christian’s salvation upon confession of Jesus as saviour is just the beginning of eventual salvation particularly when such individual has the opportunity to live beyond the day of his reception of Jesus as Saviour. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1; 2 Corinthians 7:10); Confession of faith in Christ must be continuous unto the end of life and backed by the fruits of the Spirit and good works.

We believe in the universality of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross as one that is available to all souls of all tribes, tongues and tribes.

We believe that good works on their own do not cleanse from sin nor will good works qualify us to be adjudged worthy of God’s eternal kingdom in heaven through good works alone neither will faith alone be sufficient to qualify us. (James 2:14-26)

End Times & the Second Coming of Jesus: We believe in pre-tribulation Rapture, the Great Tribulation, and the visible Second Coming of Christ, culminating in Christ’s millennial reign on earth; and first resurrection of the righteous unto eternal life and the second resurrection of the unrighteous unto eternal death. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:4-6)

We believe in the marriage of one man to one woman and marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. We discourage polygamy and divorce. (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:31-33)

We are guided by the scriptural condition and warning that without holiness, no ma shall see the Lord hence we believe believer though in this world must remember they do not belong to this world eventually and must therefore conduct their lives in total holiness. Our members are required to be a positive force for good as they conduct themselves and uphold whatsoever things are true, pure, just and holy.

We believe in the priesthood of the laity, and in the separation of state and religion.

Ordinances of the Church

At AllSouls Mission we observe Biblical New Testament ordinances that include the below listed.

1. Water Baptism
We believe that following the confession of faith by an individual that has understanding of faith in God through Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and saviour, baptism by immersion in water should be the next thing whereby such individual publicly expresses his/her new faith, and expression that mirrors the baptism of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist at River Jordan. (Matt 3:13-17; Acts 2:38,41).

We believe that merely undergoing water baptism does not in itself constitute salvation but provides an opportunity for such new believers to let the world know their new identity as Christians and to give a commitment to God that they will strive to be dead to sin (keep from sin) and be arisen with Christ as overcomers over sin.

2. Holy Communion
The Holy Communion which is also referred to as Holy Sacrament or the Lord’s Supper or the Eucharist was initiated by Jesus Christ on the night He was to be betrayed, and He commanded that Christians should do it as often as possible, and this we subscribe to and do accordingly (Luke 22:14-20; 1Corinthians 11:23-34).

3. Marriage Solemnisation
We believe in Holy Matrimony, the marriage between one biological man and one biological woman at a marriage solemnized in the presence of God and God’s people as witnesses to their union; and that in doing so each party in the proposed marriage should conduct themselves in purity (including sexual purity) before solemnisation. This union is for a lifelong relationship of love and fidelity. (Gen 2:18-24; Mark 10:1-12; 1Cor 7:1-17).

4. Ordination of Ministers
Given the call of God upon people to serve Him as His ministers and the call of Jesus unto His disciples as servants of the people, we ordain men who have the call of God upon their lives to serve as ministers of God (Pastors and Deacons) and ensure that they are qualified to serve in such roles through character ascertainment and witness of members of the church before being ordained. Their ordination involves the laying on of hands, anointing with oil and a special prayer of consecration. We do not hesitate to sanction unrepentant behaviour amongst such ordained ministers. (Mark 1:16-20; Acts 6:1-6)

5. Anointing
We believe the power of God can be transferred through prayers on elements such as oil, water or handkerchiefs as a seal of the Holy Spirit on the individual who believes in Jesus to do it of for the purposes of healing for those who are seriously ill. (Mark 6:13; James 5:4)
